About Distinguished ® International Hotels, Residences and Resorts LLC Distinguished® International was founded in 2007 by William F. Burruss and Daniel D. Hanley with the purpose to develop, manage or market to the affluent North American business and leisure traveler, independent and privately owned boutique-style hotels, resorts and residences, offering exceptional first class service and a complete range of upscale amenities with the highest of standards.
Bill Burruss was also founder of Grand Heritage Hotels, a management and development company of landmark historic properties throughout the US and Europe, and of Magna Hospitality Group, L.C. which currently has various projects under construction in Manhattan and operates an additional sixteen properties throughout the United States.
