How Distinguished® Came To Be:
A Little Bit of Background
Some of you may be familiar with the
Distinguished Hotels banner that
operated out of the UK. At the time,
I had licensed the name to a British
company who after a few years of
operation, defaulted on our agreement and went bankrupt.
After much encouragement from former members, and a desire to bring to fruition my original vision for the Distinguished® name, I decided not to license it to another company, but chose to do it myself. I put together a team of professionals with more than 50 years of collective experience in the hospitality industry, and in December 2007 launched Distinguished International® Hotels, Residences a nd Resorts, LLC.
Clear Vision: Provide Marketing from an Owner’s Perspective
As a fellow hotel owner having invested and managed
independent and upscale hotels for many years, I had a clear vision; to build a strong collection of handpicked one-of-a-kind luxurious, upscale properties from around the world, each one authentic and outstanding in their beauty, architecture, people and surroundings, and with proven, effective, affordable marketing programmes that I have applied to my own properties, bring the largest market in the world to these hotels: the North American market.
